GOOD NEWS! CONCUSSION TESTS REVISED!

26-01-2005

CONCUSSION TESTINGDr Turner would like to stop Amateur Riders having to have unnecessary baseline tests from 1st January 2005. Therefore, from the start of the New Year Amateur Riders will only have to have a baseline concussion test:1. When they first apply for a licence2. Whenever they have a four-page medical (every 5 years)3. When they re-apply for a licence in the year following any concussion4. Annually if they have more than 25 rides per annumAfter any concussion, Amateur Riders will automatically have to follow the concussion protocol before riding again under Rules. This is a big improvement on the current rules and we are very grateful to Dr Turner for modifying them.
