THE AMATEUR JOCKEYS ASSOCIATION OF GREAT BRITAIN

JOSEPH COATE IS REMEMBERED AT TAUNTON ON THURSDAY 9TH NOVEMBER

05-11-2006

Joseph Coate will be remembered on Thursday at Taunton when an amateur riders’ race will carry his name in memory of him.

It is nearly a year since Joseph was tragically killed only days after joining the AJA and planning to have his first ride as an amateur jockey. We are therefore extremely grateful to Taunton Racecourse for allowing this year’s Opening Meets Amateur Riders’ Handicap Hurdle to be renamed in memory of Joseph. His parents will be there on the day to present the winning connections with their prizes.
