Hexham hosts first bumper open to Category A riders

Saturday 8th October sees the first NH flat race in which our Category A members can join Category B members and Conditional jockeys to ride in a bumper. This change in the Rules is a direct result of our request in the AJA paper submitted to Race Planning for such race conditions and it is a welcome addition to our racing calendar, opening up more opportunities for our Category A members to race ride and gain experience, thereby assisting them in gaining their Category B licences.

There are in fact 37 such NH bumpers scheduled this season alone and we are enormously grateful to everyone at the BHB for accommodating our request.
