CADALE LADIES HURDLE SERIES OF 6 KICKS OFF AT LEICESTER ON 9TH JANUARY!
The Amateur Jockeys Association are delighted to announce Cadale’s sponsorship of a new ladies hurdle series which kicks off next week at Leicester on Tuesday, 9th January for both amateur and professional lady National Hunt jockeys.
The series consists of 6 races spread across 6 different courses and programmed over 4 months of this spring with points being awarded for the first 6 placed jockeys in each and every race. The lady jockey with maximum points at the end of the series will be awarded the Cadale Trophy.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce this new series” said Kevin James, Managing Director of Cadale (International) Limited. “I feel honoured to be involved with this competition and I am hopeful that not only will this series give the girls a great opportunity to display their abilities but also we may find a big talent for the future.”
Sarah Oliver, CEO of the AJA, said “Lady jump jockeys are not presented with many races confined to their own sex during the year and we are extremely grateful to Kevin James for his generous support. I know that the girls are really looking forward to this series.”
The series begins on 9th January at Leicester followed by Catterick, Huntingdon, Towcester, Market Rasen, and culminates with the series final at Wetherby on 29th April.
